This is my first time doing a podcast. I am quite in a hurry, because I am about to travel due to my job. This was an interesting new format! and I understood every word so no need to stress at all about accent hehe!
When I was reading this chapter I had noticed that Dan unlike before is also reacting very differently unlike anything he has done before. The fact he was willing to propose an alternate place to have sex rather just say no point blank and mumble like he liked to do previously( going home instead of doing it in gym) . Also the fact is articulating what is his actual problem with sex at that particular moment is which isn’t about stopping it outright like he used to before( Potato would be traumatized, which also implies Jaekyung cares about his junior’s well being enough to listen and also he more than Dan has reasons to not get caught). He is not scared shitless and frozen and ultimately lashing out physically when he thinks he is not being heard and his fears get the better of him unlike especially last time they were together.
It also shows in how panels are drawn. Jaekyung in this session grabbed Dan’s throat twice, a move which is very scary for any uninitiated to rough sex but the panels were drawn in usual neutral and pink hues . Which is a 180 degree change from the first 6 chapters where even a hint of physical aggression was tainted with grey and black hue with Jaekyung’s eyes glowing almost demonically! LMAO( I remember the panel of their first time and Jaekyung grabbing his nape from behind was definitely drawn quite dark)
It seems Dan really meant it when he said he won’t be thinking about himself entirely unlike before when he was scared. He is genuinely not as fearful of Jaekyung as he used to be. It also shows in how he is not calling sex a complete torment despite insisting its a hard and overwhelming ordeal.
I think it definitely had significant impact on how Jaekyung hence reacted. He was more willing to listen to this articulate Dan and appease his worries unlike before but still played the prank of faux exhibitionism with keeping Potato on the phone 🤡🤭 Ofc one cannot overstate the phallus grabbing and kiss. Which other people also noted is the first time Jaekyung did under his own violation without any prompting of memory to be gentler for Dan’s health sake.

This way I also agree that they would face each other more and more, with Jaekyung taking initiative more. His session the previous time and this time proves to him that Dan won’t be feeling pleasured when he says he should so he would take initiative to do things in his own way
At least this time it felt like they are “buddy” part of the fuck buddy label . Not just a client and an resentful host.

Yes, I think the same too. Kim Dan would give him the confidence and strength to come out. That’s the other reason why I believe that Kim Dan’s asexuality represents an asset. Joo Jaekyung knows now that Kim Dan is no prostitute, he is so shy and reserved. Thus if someone badmouths the doctor, he will know the truth right away. Kim Dan would never seduce anyone in the end.
