I agree with the idea of Dan showing his backside and not his face, leaving Jaekyung feeling frustrated is a lesson, although I would see its a narrative punishment more than Dan premeditating some kind of a punishment against Jaekyung. I think there is an underestimation of how much Jaekyung himself doesn’t want to kiss Dan especially since the gift episode. He is the one who initiates protocols to stay away from Dan for most of the interaction since then, especially since the alcohol +gift episode where he showed intimacy and desire to kiss on his own which shows he sees kissing with genuinely affection and intimacy which in fully aware state he doesn’t want with Dan at any cost. Dan I think just exploited the fact Jaekyung doesn’t want to act any more close than necessary and turned his back on him as well. Unlike the first episode where he wants to deny his feelings and sexuality, here he wants to escape from intimacy for it only would rub salt on the wounds of his unrequited feelings and make it harder for him to go away, for which he is mentally preparing himself since he agreed to fulfil Halmoni’s wishes.
Someone pointed out the parallel between that sex scene shown in last chapter before Junmin match and the one between Dongwoon and Jiwon after break up . In both situation Dongwoon and Dan are turning their back on their respective lovers. Its clear they both want to leave and it stands to reason like Dongwon , Dan is also doing that because he wants to protect his soft emotional underbelly which can get hurt being exposed to their lovers, who they both have reasons to believe do not appreciate their sentimental love.
I also think their relationship will resume after Jaekyung kisses him out of the shadow of Jinx, money, arrangement or medical considerations. If parallel between the scenes between BJ Alex and last episode is holding true, the next intimacy would initiated by Jaekyung after he :confesses:. However its too soon for Jaekyung to realize his feelings so his confession would probably more closer to appreciating him as a PT and a person and request for working for him perhaps. I see season 1 was mainly about Dan, to make him someone who hated the idea of a future without his Halmoni and was scared of intimacy and sex to someone who now wants love and hence by implication a silent cry for future. I see season 2 mainly be about Jaekyung and him opening up his heart to intimacy and be less scared to let people in, that can happen only when he takes initiative . Season 1 started with Dan reluctantly changing how he would be with Jaekyung and season 2 would start with Jaekyung reluctantly perhaps but letting Dan in on his life in a more meaningful way beside just living by his side and being his PT/sex partner. That way true feelings could blossom without the emotional constipation of Jaekyung getting in the way, scaring him from his own feelings to tamp it down.

When I made the connection between 29 and 53, it’s clear that it’s not done to punish Joo Jaekyung intentionally. It’s his karma, because he didn’t understand the underlying message behind the doctor’s request. Joo Jaekyung was not taking his responsibility. He is supposed to clean his sex partner. I wanted to add that while the champion is already seeing Kim Dan as a man and roommate, the other still sees him as a champion and star. He is not seeing beyond the shine. He shows no interest in his private life (family, past). So in season 2, Joo Jaekyung will show more interest in his lover’s life and past. I hope, he meets the green-haired guy again who makes fun of him, because Kim Dan was dressed so poorly.
